Prerequisites
Sharing of desktop applications is possible between two agents connected over a telephony call. Therefore, an active call is an absolute prerequisite for successful desktop sharing. Both agents on the call must communicate through Avaya one-X Agent 2.5.
Open the application that you want to share on the desktop and initiate a telephony call with an agent with whom you want to share the desktop. Use the following steps once the call work item appears on the work item window.
- On the desktop launch an application that you want to share.
- Initiate a telephony call with an agent with whom you want to share the desktop.
- Select from the menu on the call work item.
The application adds a Share screen object below the call with Screen Control and End Screen Sharing buttons.
- Click Screen Control.
The application sends a desktop sharing request to the recipient and displays as a Share Screen object on the recipient's work item window with an Accept Screen Share button.
The recipient must click Accept Screen Share to be able to share the desktop. You can send the request to accept the screen share through a call.
The application launches the share window and the recipient is able to view the application running on the desktop
